A Nation In Crisis

The Bible with all of its answers, all of its authority and all of its power lies there on the table closed. The hordes of hell are coming against this nation and the answer lies silent in a closed book upon the table.
The people of God have the authority to open this book and use the words of this book as a sword against the demonic influence that is pressing down upon our nation.
The opening and speaking of the words in this book immediately sends forth a shaft of light -- a light so powerful, so illuminating that the demons shrink back in fear.
The people of God must give a voice to the Word of God. The people of God must send forth the light and truth of the Word with their voices.
Psalm 103:20
"Bless the Lord, you His angels
Mighty in strength who perform His Word
Obeying the voice of His Word" (NAS)
Who gives voice to His Word?! The people of God!!
People of God awake from your slumber and take the front lines of battle in the army of God. Speak forth the Word of God and proclaim the Name of Jesus Christ over our land. Couple your cries and your prayers with II Chronicles 7:14 " If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

The Power of His Resurrection

Philippians 3:10 "that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection..." NAS
The power of His resurrection from the dead is assurance that we also will be resurrected and spend eternity with Him. But the power of His resurrection also means to me that we have been joined to God. We were once separated from God, dead in our transgressions and sins and far from God. Unable to hear His voice and unable to commune with Him. But the power of His resurrection changed all of that. When Jesus was resurrected and went to be with the Father in heaven, He sent another, the Comforter to dwell inside of us. His resurrection provided the Spirit of God who came and walks with me, talks with me and enables me to have sweet communion with my Lord.
His resurrection power has resurrected me from the dead - the dead place of living according my carnal nature - and has made me alive with Him. ( Ephesians 2:1-6) His resurrection power has resurrected us from sin, from selfishness, from hatred, from darkness, and from the grip of demonic influence. The power of His resurrection demonstrates its power everyday in my life as I am filled with His life, His joy, and His love.

II Kings 3:1-24

If you read the article Time to Dig,Time to Sow,Time to Grow, you will find II Kings 3:1-24 to be very interesting. Three kings set out to go to battle against the King of Moab. After a seven day journey they found themselves in a land with no water. When we fail to maintain a daily relationship with the Lord we may find ourselves in a dry and thirsty land. The kings called upon Elisha to ask the Lord for help because they feared they would all die. We die spiritually when we neglect our prayer and worship time and time in the Word of God. The prophet of God asked for a minstrel to be brought to him and as the music played the Lord spoke to him. Worship is our vehicle into God's presence. As we worship and adore Him in humble adoration He manifests Himself to us. The Lord told the armies of the kings to make the valley full of ditches. They were to dig ditches and wait for the water. Just as the Word from the Lord in "Time to Dig,Time to Sow,Time to Grow" told us to dig in preparation,to dig up the stubborn rocks of the flesh and break up the hardness of the heart and wait for the water of the Spirit. The armies had to dig wells and trenches and then wait, so we must dig wells and trenches in our lives, making room for more of God, more of the Word, more prayer and worship and then we wait on Him. The scripture says that at the time of the morning offering that the water came by way of Edom. As we offer ourselves up as a living sacrifice (Rom.12:1) the waters of the Spirit will come. The presence of the Lord will wash over us " deep calls unto deep at the sound of Thy waterfalls; all Thy breakers and Thy waves have rolled over me." Ps. 42:7 NAS. As we dig wells and wait and offer our lives to Him as a living sacrifice He will pour down upon us as the waves and breakers of the ocean. He will flood our souls with His lovingkindness and speak great mysteries to us. Now is the the time to sow but first we must dig the wells to receive the water.
It says in II kings that the water came by way of Edom. Edom means red, rosy or blood. This great privilege that we have of sitting in God's presence and being filled with the water of His Spirit comes to us by way of the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

Time to Dig,Time to Sow,Time to Grow

One morning while in prayer, the Lord began to impress this word on my heart. I have written it as it was given to me.

"This is an open season. Open season means it is a season for growing. It is a time to sow. Sow prayers of intercession; sow into the kingdom; sow new wells; sow the digging up of old wells; sow the remembrance of what God has done and what He has promised.
To sow - one must dig first. Begin to dig deep. Digging is the preparation. You can't just throw the seeds on the ground, you have to prepare. You have to dig; break up the hardness of the heart; throw out the stubborn rocks of the flesh; fertilize with the Word; water with the Spirit; prepare your heart, mind and flesh through discipline, repentance and the Word.
Sow to the Spirit, not to the flesh. Do not give in to the flesh. Do not give in to the carnal will but rather bend the will to run with the Spirit. You have control over your will; discipline it; train it to follow the Spirit not the flesh. Train it and you will yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Train yourself to listen to the Spirit. I will speak to you but you must learn to listen. Do not listen to your noisy soul, listen to the quieter voice within you.
It is a time of training. I want to teach My people. They must come and learn. I am in a teaching season. This is the time for My people to learn of Me. This is the time for My people to sow to the things of the Spirit. This is the time to grow in the Spirit. Harvest is coming. A harvest of people who hear My voice and act upon it. A harvest of people who will move in the supernatural. A harvest of people who will do great and mighty things for My kingdom. But first they must sow; must sow to Me; sow to My kingdom. I am not speaking of money. I am speaking of sowing their hearts, minds and souls. I am speaking of sowing prayer and worship and waiting. I am speaking of sowing meditating in My Word.
Then there will come a harvest of a mighty people of God who will go forth in My name. And I will be greatly pleased with this people and My anointing shall be upon them and they shall declare My Words. But first you must sow."

Proclamations

The Lord began to speak to me about the prayer of proclamation. The prayer of proclamation has been misunderstood, misused and mishandled. The Lord is not talking about proclaiming things for our own gain and desires. But rather a proclaiming of who God is. Who He is over our families, our city, our nation. Proclaim means to announce, declare, ascribe. We are to announce and declare and decree the name of the Lord over our families and city and nation. The names of the Lord describe His character and who He is. The Lord's prayer teaches us to start with "Hallowed be Thy name". By proclaiming His Name over our families, cities, and nation we are hallowing His name, setting it apart and decreeing that we bow to the authority of His Name. There are many names ascribed to the our Lord. Let's take for example the name of Jehovah Shalom, the Prince of Peace, the God of peace. As we proclaim that hallowed name over our famlies and cities and nations, that name of Peace shall be reverenced and worshipped. The knowledge of that name shall become known in your family, city and nation. Men's hearts will be drawn to the Prince of Peace and will bow to the name. The name of Peace will go forth to rule and reign and to influence this earth. Decree that He is the Prince of Peace and ask that he would exhibit His peace over all the nation and pour His peace into the hearts of mankind. Proclaim to your home, city, and nation the peacefulness of the Lord and speak to their hearts to receive it.
The Lord has many names that can be proclaimed over the earth. Jehovah Rapha - the Lord who heals, Jehovah Jireh - the Lord who provides (remember that the most important provision God has provided is His beloved Son to die on the cross that we might be redeemed from the curse),Jehovah Tsidkenu - the Lord of righteousness,Jehovah Sabaoth - the Lord of hosts, Adonai - Lord and Master, El Elyon - the God most high. He is the Mighty One of Israel,Wonderful Counselor,Great Physician,Lion of Judah,Lily of the Valley,Rose of Sharon,Bright and Morning Star,Lamb of God,Bread of Life,Living Water,Alpha and Omega,Author and Finisher of our faith,Good Shepherd,Redeemer,Savior,Messiah,Anointed One,God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Lord of lords and King of kings. That is just a few of the names of our God.
There are many scriptures that tell us that God is ruler over the nations,King of all the earth and the earth belongs to Him and those who dwell in it.( Ps.22:27-28;Ps. 47:7-8;Ps.24:1)God is ruler over the nations and so His Name must be proclaimed as such.
Ps. 24:7-10 " lift up your heads, O gates and be lifted up, O ancient doors that the King of glory may come in. Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle, lift up your heads, O gates and lift them up,O ancient doors that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory." NAS Do you notice how your spirit just rises up and you want to shout hallelujah at the reading of that verse? When we proclaim that God is the King of glory, we are inviting the King of glory to come to our homes, cities and nation and opening the gates for His glory to be poured out on all mankind. The prayer of proclamation is a powerful prayer.
IPeter 2:9 "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." NAS Look closely at this verse and notice our assignment. We were chosen to do what? We were chosen to PROCLAIM the excellencies of our Lord. We are to proclaim who God is and all that He has done. We are to make known to all the earth His wondrous works. (Ps.9:1;Ps.26:7;IChron.16:9).

Betrothed To The Lord

Hosea 2:19 "And I will betroth you to Me forever,Yes,I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in compassion. And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, Then you will know the Lord." NAS

We are betrothed to the Lord. We are His Bridegoom. The Church of Jesus Christ is the Bridegroom of the Lamb of God. In Jesus teachings, He used many parallels to the Jewish marriage customs. In our western society we often miss these because we are unfamiliar with the marriage customs of those times. During the time that Jesus walked on the earth, the Jewish father of the groom or the bridegroom himself would leave his father's house and travel to the home of his intended bride. He would negotiate a price with the bride's father and pay the price required for his bride. Then the bride and groom would drink from a cup of wine and seal a marriage covenant between them. The bride was then considered sanctified and dedicated to her groom and was to remain faithful to him. Likewise, Jesus left His Father's house in heaven and and came to earth, the home of His Bride. He paid the price for the Bride with His own Blood ( ICor.:6:20 "For you are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.") and we enter into a marriage covenant with Him. We are sanctified and dedicated to Him and are to remain faithful to Him. We symbolize our covenant with Jesus each time we partake of communion ( ICor. 11:25 " this cup is the new covenant in My Blood").
After the marriage covenant is established, the bridegroom leaves the bride at her father's home and goes to prepare a place for his bride to live. Jesus also left us to go to prepare a place for us. (John 14:1-3 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.")
While the bridegroom is off preparing a place for his bride, the bride is to keep herself sanctified and pure and she is to prepare her wedding gown. She does not know the day or the hour when her bridegroom will return for her so she must be on the alert and ready at all times. Her dress must be perfect without spot or wrinkle or blemish and ready to put on at a moments notice. When the groom has made all of the preparations for his bride, he gathers his wedding party and walks down the streets of the village with a shout "Behold the bridegroom cometh." When the bride hears his shout, she and her attendants must put their wedding garments on and be ready for the bridegroom to take them to the wedding feast. Likewise, Jesus will return for His Bride with a shout at a time that we know not of. (IThess.4:16-17 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God;and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and thus we shall always be with the Lord."
Whenever we hear the gospel preached, we are reminded that we are His Bride and have entered into a marriage covenant with Jesus and that we are to be faithful to Him and remain sanctified until He comes back for us.
Our wedding gown is to be spotless and without wrinkle or blemish - Eph. 5:27 "that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless". NAS
We must strive to keep ourselves free from sin. Num.5:5 "when a man or woman wrongs another in any way-- he is unfaithful to the Lord." NAS When we sin we are being unfaithful to the Lord because we are betrothed to Him and have entered into a marriage covenant. When we entered into covenant with Him we promised to be faithful to Him and to live a life without sin. Sin is unfaithfulness to our beloved Bridegroom. Lord, help us to live pure and undefiled before You, that we may be a glorious Bride when You return for us.

Walking in Good Works

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." NAS
We were designed by God before the foundation of the earth for good works. Ever wonder what these good works are? Let's look at what the concordance tells us about these words. GOOD means: generous, kindness,a good thing. WORKS means: an action,a behavior, deeds, effectual labor. WALK means: to behave or to conduct ourselves. So the good works that we are to do are: generous, kind, and good actions and behavior that we conduct ourselves in. We must remind ourselves that we were created for GOOD works - that the purpose of our lives is for GOOD works. Our carnal nature fights to draw us away from the original plan of God for GOOD works into bad works. As we start this new year let us purpose in our hearts to not allow ourselves to do works of anger, works of jealousy, works of hatred, works of judgment, works of discouragement, works of insecurity, works of gossip, works of falsehood, works of destruction. But rather let us fulfill what we have been created for -- let us follow after what was in the original blueprints of God's design for us. Let us do works of truth, works of light, works of peace, works of encouragement, works of mercy, works of grace, works of love. Let us bring forth the kingdom of God in this new year.
